Generative AI for nuclear expertise

The Institut de Radioprotection et de Sûreté Nucléaire (IRSN) is a public body under the joint authority of the Minister for Ecological Transition, the Minister for the Armed Forces, and the Ministers for Energy Transition, Research and Health. As part of its "Augmented Expertise" program, IRSN wants to strengthen its expertise through the integration of advanced technologies and innovative approaches such as Artificial Intelligence. Cleyrop, in partnership with Ekimetrics, the French leader in Data Science, will support the development of a demonstrator for this program: the INB Transport portal. The aim of this platform is to improve the analysis of information relating to nuclear facilities and the transport of radioactive materials, the efficiency of safety assessments and collaboration between key players in the field. It will be built on Cleyrop technology to offer an integrated platform bringing together all the tools needed to assist INB expertise, unified access to the various sources of data, detailed governance of this heritage to improve its quality and reliability, and a generative AI tool for querying the documentary database to facilitate and accelerate the work of IRSN experts and their publications.
